| Network Spinal Analysis | |
| The approach used in this
office is called Network Spinal Analysis (NSA). NSA has
been developed by Donald Epstein, DC and is being taught
to chiropractors all over the world. The hallmark of this
approach is that we utilize gentle and specific touches
to the spine to render the adjustment, rather than the
hard, twisting, tension filled thrust that most people
associate with Chiropractic care. The touch is light and
has about the same pressure you can comfortably put on
your eye. The objective of NSA is to induce a greater sense of Wellness in people by reducing adverse spinal cord tension and thereby improving communication between the brain and the body. By using gentle and specific touches in a consistent sequence where the spinal cord attaches to the spine (gateways), a patient's own body learns to release complex patterns of tension. |
| When the
adjustment is given, most people experience their breath
getting deeper. The movement of breath through the body
helps to dissipate tension held in the muscles and spinal
column. Some people may feel muscles twitching and waves
of energy moving through their bodies during the
adjustment session. These are methods the body uses to
increase personal awareness, which is the essence
of healing. NSA is not a treatment approach to the body, meaning that it is not used to treat sprains, strains, injuries, diseases, illnesses or pain, or move bones. Our purpose is to remove obstacles to communication within the nerve system so that the body can direct its own healing in what ever way it feels is necessary! This helps people gain a greater awareness of themselves, their needs and what serves them best in life. |
